Air Dry Clay Class with Marlaine Verhelst

Hi there... Wow, what fun I'm having!
I decided to try something new, so I'm taking an online class with Marlaine Verhelst.
Of all the online classes I've taken, none compare to this one. This is my first attempt at air dry clay sculpting...  If you ever have a chance to take a class given by Marlaine go for it, she is the BEST... she answers all your questions and has a great eye for detail and you really learn a lot. I can't say enough about her! The face is painted using water color paints.

The hands were a nightmare, LOL!! I spent days on them, they were more work than the face. They almost went flying out the window, lol!!  Because the fingers almost drove me crazy I decided to make the feet with shoes instead... they took hours to get to this point also... still working on both the hands and feet. As frustrating as the hands have been, its been just as exciting. Best ever class!

I'm starting on the body now and can't wait to get to the costume... will keep posting pictures as I go.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!
Caroline
I just took an online class with Cyndi Mahlstadt for this cute Jester on a stick. What fun!
It still isn't finished. The face is stretch fabric that is sculpted and painted.
Have a great day!

Caroline:)

New Doll Pattern almost complete...

Hello to all...

Wow, it's been a while since I've had time to post. I've been busy working on all kinds of projects. Here is a picture of my newest doll, my version of Red Riding Hood. I created this doll pattern for those of you who asked me if I would include a ready made face... ta-da!!

I hope you like here, since the face is already made for you, think of the time you will save... oh and to make her even easier I gave you simple shoe shaped foot, that you simply paint... That means no toes to sculpt... Now that the doll is finished I can put together the pattern. As always I took tons of pictures and the pattern will have step by step directions as always.

Even though I have all my notes, directions and pictures, putting the actual pattern together takes time, but I couldn't wait and wanted to share this with you.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Doll Hugss,
Caroline
